Watercolour Eggplant Original Print

 I'm excited to share my original print of a watercolour painting as part of the #givewithart initiative led by the artist Mark Hatwood! 

At least 50% of the proceeds from this piece will be donated to support crucial humanitarian aid efforts in countries affected by earthquakes and other natural disasters. 

I created this vibrant watercolour in January 2023, just before the devastating earthquake in Türkiye, which makes its message even more meaningful. 

While searching for the perfect piece to contribute, I remembered how beloved the aubergine is in that region, and it inspired me to explore many delightful Turkish eggplant recipes. In fact, "Delicious" was the original title I chose for this artwork, and I truly hope it brings joy to your space! 

Stylistically, it falls into a category that blends elements of realism with a touch of impressionism. This approach lends itself to a dreamy, almost surreal quality.  

It's a piece that would likely find a home in a collection focused on contemporary still life, botanical art, or even works with a surrealist sensibility.
